Anyone got any idea how this compares to say BP Ultimate and V Power? Always use V Power, but the petro price watch site lkeeps telling me that the Sainsbury's stuff is 5p per liter cheaper.

Not going to sacrifice anything for the sake of £2.50 a tank, but if it's good stuuf with good cleaners/additives I'll give it a go.

I've used it regularly and had no problems at all. Used to run my modded Nissan Skline GTR on the stuff and had no issues.

I'd certainly give it a big thumbup

From my previous forum sxoc.co.uk a guy who knew the industry and fuels said sainsbury's 97 is BP ultimate. Have read this elsewhere too im sure.

I use it sometimes if going on longer runs where the car doesn't need to be redlined, find it's pretty good but you can notice the difference between it and V power, saying still much better than buying 95 regular at the same price from shell.

sainsbury's is BP fuel. They signed an agreement in 2004 to buy that. It's 97 octane.

Tescos comes from Greenenergy (which they own 25% of) and is 99 octane. VPower is 99octane plus detergents.

You pay your money and take your coice.
