Well known car photographers?

[SpeedEight]

I'm doing a photography course and the theme is freedom, one part of my project will include cars/motorbikes. Are there any famous/well known/well respected photographers that specialise in cars/bikes, etc.?

I don't really want to include motorsport because I don't think it really fits in with the theme I want to follow up (which is personal freedoms and how our cars/motorbikes extend these).

Any help appreciated

Are you just after some names?

Go to www.the-aop.org/fhome.htm and search for Automotive portfolios.
That should give you a list of photographers and links to websites/portfolios that will keep you occupied for some time....

Tim Kent is probably about as "famous" as they come in the car photography business.

How about Jacques-Henri Lartigue?

His work is both humorous and full of spirit.

Thanks guys, that's given me a lot to go on!

EmmaP: I really like the Jacques-Henri Lartigue you posted, I shall definitely include some of his work in my research.
