Can anyone recommend a cheap insurer for a 1977 911 SC targa?

Cheapest i've managed so far has been £2300 with £1000 excess.

These are the companies I tend to try for Classic Policies, I'm insured with A Manning as the cover track Days but both RH and CB Asset Trust were cheaper (they dont cover track days!)

A Manning 01491 578759
Heritage – 0845 373 4777
Footman James – 0845 4586768
Carole Nash - 0800 781 9309
Nowel & Richards - 01785 255514
CB Asset Trust - 01285 841555
RH Classic - 01277 206911

Also try Classic Line: 01455 639000 just done me a fantastic deal, but I suspect being under 25 you are well and truly screwed! I don't think many will touch you with the preverbal barge pole!

Try Norwich Union Direct, Nicola, they were very good to me recently.....it would help if you could insure the porka as a 'classic' with limited miles...( 5k a year?), that does reduce things a lot. Even tho' I'm old enough to be your dad, I only pay £450 per year for a 993TT....so it helps.

PS No ageist comments please ....and I'm def not her Dad!

I think.....

I used Rh! Sub £200 for 5k p/a! I think they need you to be over 30 though! worth checking though! Now wondering if id prefer the cheap insurance, or being 18 again????

Try confused.com... As annoying as their advert is they were the cheapest by far when I just got some quotes.

I know the feeling, I spent ages searching for my renewal and im paying over 2k now on a Clio!
I might be doing some work in a showroom in the summer, dont really plan on going into it, I just want to see what its like and enjoy working with cars!

It's great, you'll have great fun! Keep in mind though the majority of people that work in the trade aren't interested in cars......and you'll be fine
