As the topic says. Can you no longer order a new 997 GT3?

Yes, and they said no. Couldn't quite believe it, I didn't relise it would be a limited production car.

You are a bit late placing an order for one of these - see 997 GT3 posts which started running back in March!

I posted thus; Yes,I have heard the new 'import quota' story from a few sources over the last couple of weeks.

We will be seeing the price of ALL Porsche RHD models start to firm over the coming year as Porsche GB / Porsche AG has decided to restrict the numbers of all its new models that they bring into the UK market. They say its because they have had many complaints about poor residuals.

IMO its more about complaining OPC's wanting to keep their OPC Stealers margins nice and fat!

confused I'd say there's more margin on shifting new units than used

Margins are about the same - they look to make 10k-12k on new or used.

most car dealers make much higher margins on used, though less so as you get into 'prestige' franchises. good news for those long gt3s and with deposits down. heehee.

if this is accurate - that's great news for residuals (til the Mk2 997 GT3/RS come out !)
