Update: Just heard from Prodrive: They have categorically denied having any involvement in this car and Brisk have said to them that their press material was misleading in regards to the Prodrive involvement and will be corrected.

Don't all current WRC formulae require the cars to be production cars though? So this would never even be alllowed to enter anything as, in spite of the Skoda lights, it clearly isn't a production shell.

I know very little of rally regs so I am ready to be proven wrong.

Apart from the grille and lights the shape reminds me a lot of the old Renault Megane Maxi rally car.

Somehow it looks more like a rallycross entrant than a stage rally car, but we'll see what they do with it.

500bhp is way over current WRC spec too which is limited to around 300bhp. It does seem to have a lot of fabia in it but I can't see it being eligible for anything apart from rich person's plaything.

Looks good.

Guys it's a concept... doesn't mean it has to conform to any regs - it's an example of what they manufacturer can produce, that's all.

Agree with Sosidge above. Certainly seems to have spec to make awesome Rallycrosser. Or do they need to be even quicker on acceleration??

True but I just don't get the point. Prodrive have already produced some mega racing cars, why would they need a concept like this? Still, I do like it though!

And what can they produce? Cars that don't meet regs using entirely standard and already proven core components with nothing innovative at all. Talented bunch of guys...

Someone out there please, for the love of god, just make a road going version of the Prodrive P2. I cannot believe no one has pick-up the idea, all it need is a car badge on the P2, develop the car for production, and get it out the door. It would sale like hot cakes.

Why has PH just become a repetition for the Autocar website?

It used to be so much better.....

No need to prepare as you are right. With the proposed changes to MSA rally regs, "specials" like this are likely to be outlawed from even single venue events! Yes, that will mean the end of the Andy Burton 306 Cosworth!

Sorry, but the Brisk here doesn't look anything like the Prodrive P2.

Why keep the Skoda grill, it's the only thing that spoils it?

Pity Skoda doesn't make a road version -- I'd have one.
