they seem VERY impresive in terms of power to size.

thanks Chris.

Chris,

Have you ever been for a ride in an Ultima?

If the answer is yes, then why are you suggesting anything but a thumping great V8 - Im sure most would agree that the whole point of an Ultima is wrapped up in that.

If the answer is no, then please go for a ride in one so we can put an end to the "will this fit in an Ultima" threads.

no crafty i haven't been lucky enough to go for a ride in one! and i dont see it happening any time soon. and lets not even talk about building one. the house has killed that ever happening. and i will shut up now.

MODS please delete this thread as im clearly p!ssing people off.

Chris, I am sure if you asked nicely someone here would take you for a spin, I would gladly do it but its a bloody long way to go.

You REALLY should go for a ride in one,.... you are obviously in love with the idea of horsepower and torque and you should find out what its all about.

Who's gonna take Cris for a spin?

Chris, if you are around at any of the shows etc. . . . then if you make yourself known I'm sure that any one of us would take out you for a spin. Get to the factory open day (August 5th) your best chance of a ride. You'll just have to live with funding issue, like most of us did, until that magic day that you can either buy a s/h or put the order in!!!
I wouldn't worry about pissing anyone off, it's a forum after all, freedom of speech and all that. Anyway if you hadn't put this post up I wouldn't have found out about Henk and the Audi V8 Can-Am, albeit in the Netherlands but another interesting and by the pics unique installation (not that I've seen that many).

edited to say agree with Crafty keep it V8

August 5th.

Is that confirmed, I was thinking about coming over from Australia and it would be good to coincide the visit

Chris, keep saving, you will get there. In a little while the house that you bought will give a bit of return, your wage will go up as well and things will not be as tight. You have done the hard thing by getting that first big one out of the way. Just stop buying curtains

Regards Ryan,
26 and fixing up first house as well.

I am most looking forward to the open day this year but a word of warning: I have it on good authority that Ted has hired armed security this year due to mumblings last year and a threatened upsurgence this year with regards to loose talk of alternative non Chevy power plants being used in his cars and he has ordered that suspects be shot on sight if caught rambling about such whilst on Ultima turf so beware, you know who you are hehe

DISSCLAIMER: Factory, I was only kidding, I hope this has not jeopardised my position with regards to visiting the buffet?
