fire extinguisher regs for MSA Mod Prod hillclimb
Discussion
I cant find my blue book anywhere and need to find the requirements for a plumbed extinguisher system for my hill climb car. Its currently road legal but im looking to get it log booked so i can use slicks (cant on MOT). from what i remember its AFFF and minimum 1 x nozzle interior aimed at driver and 1 x nozzle underbonnet aimed at fuel rail. what capacity has the bottle got to be? 2.25ltr or 4ltr? dont want to carry bigger than is required given that on hillclimbs there are marshals every 100yds or so.

My understanding of this is :-
L9.1.7 If it is currently licensed for road use and competes road legal you don’t need a log book. Therefore as soon as you bolt on slicks you do.
Fire extinguisher to Q3.1.2a (Medium installation 2.25L plumbed in for discharge into cockpit and engine bay) is recommended only, not a requirement for hill climb. Dry powder is prohibited
