I'm just about to bolt my twin 45 DCOE's to the new manifold using the studs and Thackery washers supplied with the manifold. Should I be looking for a particular torque or compression of the washers as a guide to how tight to take the nyloc nuts. I believe that there is another option of using cup washers and rubber spacers but since the Thackery washers were supplied I might as well use them.

Not torque AFAICR but I think it's something like a 20-40thou feeler guage between the coils of the washer. To be honest Mishab washers are much better & it's a damn long time since I worked on a car that didn't have Mishabs.

Agree with tr7v8, you'd be better ditching the Thackery washers in favour of the cup washers and rubber spacers.

I bolt mine up so there is about a 2-3mm gap. Just make sure all the gaps are the same.

Oops, I didn't read the thread properly, I was under the impression that Thackery washers were the rubber type with the cups which is what I use.
