Hit some water in the griff, span 270 degrees, bounced off the crash barrier with the rear, then hit the front then the back again, don't think they'll write it off though.

Easily done.

Make sure that as you are the customer, you insist that it is taken to a garage of YOUR CHOICE for repairs. The insurance company will try to take it to their repairers, who will almost certainly know Jack Schitt about fibreglass cars, and will try to write it off. That amount of damage (from looking at the photos) is not sufficient (IMHO) for it to be a write off, and if repaired by a reputable company, will not be noticable at all after repair. It certainly doesn't look like there is any chassis damage. If you need proof, go to www.thegriffithpages.com and have a look at Ballistics' Griff, which was much more severely beaten up than yours, and looking at it now, you can't tell there was ever any damage. Also, Quinnys' Griff was repaired despite having the front wheel put where the battery should be, so, get it repaired.

If you search on here you'll get plenty of leads to good fibreglass repairers, look at their work and go from there. See you at the Growl if you're going.

What's the availability of body panels like with the factory closed?

I remember when I pranged my Griff, I had to wait about 6 weeks for the factory to MAKE me a new panel.

Who are you insured with?

If you insist on using your own choice of repairer (instead of one of your insurance company's "approved" ones), it usually means that your policy will not provide a courtesy car. Here's a tip: phone all their approved repairers and ask them if they can repair fibreglass bodywork. Chances are they all say "no", and then your insurers will have to accept your choice of repairer, and you'll get a courtesy car too.

I thoroughly recommend BeeGee Coachcraft in Chessington by the way.

Body sections are available from :-

www.damagedtvrs.co.uk/stock_pages/griffith.html

Looks like you got away reasonable well, when i did mine a few years ago under very similar circumstances, it took off the complete rear from the tank back, drivers door, and the front end too. Main thing is that you're not hurt. Hope you get it sorted and it's back on the road soon.

MrMaggit's right, get it done at the garage of your choice. Webbs of Nailsea (just south of Bristol) are TVR specialists & have a very good reputation.
At least you're ok.

Oh mate ... Sorry !!

I'll call you later on.

The rear end damage is 3k's worth alone, before the front, I reckon that's 6k worth of damage. Argue your case and you'll get back a car effectively fully resprayed ...

Thanks for the replies, I've been recommended www.kingscourtcoachworks.com/about.html how do a lot of work for mole valley, the insurance are kicking up a fuss about a courtesy car though as one of their approved people said they could repair fibreglass.

The car had agreed value on the policy so hopefully they will write off but if they do should be enough to cover the purchase of another car which would probably be newer due to the recent drop in prices.
