Hi chaps,

I am moving to Birmingham in a weeks' time from Norwich. So are there any recomendations as to who I should be using to service my Chimaera from now on?

I've used Scole for a while now as they are not only excellent but very, very reasonably priced, however that will no longer be an option once I move unfortunately, so all suggestions are going to be gratefully recieved.

Cheers in advance...

Graham

Adrian Venn in Coventry is excellent and has been around Tivs for longer than most. Knows his stuff and very reasonable - use him a lot with 2 Griffs!

Recommend TopGear Automotive Wolverhampton they are just off the M54 J2, new company but are gaining an excellent reputation.
Both mechanics are well experienced and excellent TVR specialists. Ring 01902 780008.

Had a similar dilema when i got my Griff a few months back - I used David Gerald in Inkberrow, just south of Redditch. No issues at all with the service, but a little more expensive than most of the independents i believe.

And to add another one to choose from...... Guglielmi Motorsport in Daventry 01327 878425. THE best place I've been to in 10 years of owning TVR's, whether indie or main dealer.

Sorry i can't recommend these guys at all if you value your car. PPM details if required.

I have used all Midlands based indies within past 18 months of owning my Chim, and depending on where you are based, i have found Central TVR (Andy) to be the most professional and consistent, just make sure you agree costs in advance.

I'm happy to share these experiences if you PPM

I've been using Horizon for almost four years, and they're busier now than they've ever been, in fact they've had to move to bigger premises. They've got one of my Tiv's at the moment.

I also use "Power" in Coventry.

Another recommendation for Horizon from me. Been using them for four years and have always had excellent service from a very knowledgable and friendly team.

Another vote here for Horizon, they've looked after both my Chimaeras and my Cerb, and nary a problem. Interested to hear someone's not happy....

Depending which side of Birmingham you will be on you could take a look at

www.autotune-tvr.co.uk

I think Mervyn still runs a courtesy car, but he will give you a lift to the station if required.
