Hello everyone again,

Not posted for a while, since I did the Porsche Cayman Insurance for Young Drivers thread, which many of you prob thought "Just another young lad dreaming"...

Anyways after reading your comments on getting a 911 and the running costs etc compared to a Cayman, I thought fair enough...got a spreadsheet running and wahey!!...I can afford a 911...I hope anyway, as I have just put a deposit down on a 55reg 997 C2, thts done next to 0 miles.

Not sure when I get to pick her up, will find out soon though

Really happy...

Pictures to follow when I get it

sooo can anyone give me a taster to what I've just let myself in for....

A whole heap of fun... but not as much as if you'd bought a 996TT for the same money... hehe

Seriously though, congrats on the purchase. beer

Thanks to everyone that as replied.

I would have a 996TT, but Mr Insurance man added to many 0's on the end of my premium.

Maybe a Turbo one day though...

p.s...its amazing how Porsche's pull women!

Careful, you haven't got one yet - you'll start to look like Joey in "Friends"........

P.s. enjoy the car when you get it - well done.

Good man - well done.

Just a note - get an insurance quote on a 996 GT2 from Elephant - insurance premiums have little to do with logic...

Insurance cost me just over 3k, which I thought was very good for a 20 Year old on a 911. These days are going by soooooooooo s-l-o-w-l-y now...I just wanna drive it!! lol

Thanks for all your replies

Hey Woodie (puts on sensible boring old fart hat and prepares to duck) did your spread sheet have columns for mortgage, pension and school fees?

Enjoy your car while you can, it will be wicked, pics soon please.

Thats a very good price for the insurance, all things considered.

Do you mind me asking what you do for a living? £50k++ car is pretty good going at 20!

what do you mean by that?

infact what a daft question...I know exactly what you mean...if you dnt believe me then fair enough, but will you have the guts (when I have the car) to admit I wasn't lying? I dnt think so...

also I dnt understand how you can judge me:
-I work which means I ain't a student, also live at home
-I also dnt drink, smoke etc, infact the only thing I spend my money on is cars, call me sad, a loner, whatever, each to their own

if you was being sarcastic though and the above post was in good nature then I appologise and I will withdraw this post

Just winds me up when people say things like that
