Hi guys,

Ive got my DAS this wkend and my test on monday. To say im getting nervous already cold be a small under statement!!

Just wondering if any of you could give me any hits or tips for my test, and the types of things they can fail me on. (I know I have to turn my indicator off!!!)

Thanks.....

Hello mate. Just relax. Treat it as a Sunday afternoon stroll! Nail that u-turn and you'll be fine.

Good luck.

At the end of the day the instructor is looking for a safe/confident ride, relax, get all your checks in (warning signs, whenever you change speed/direction), don't go to bits over a mistake (what you may think is major will most likely be a minor). Don't poodle along, if the speed limit is 50mph he expects you to be up near this.

Good luck.

Edited because I'm a few days behind...... Well done thumbup

Well done

Unfortunately my Mrs failed her's yesterday as she clipped the kerb on turn in road. She has re-booked though - and throroughly enjoyed the DAS.

Just not looking forward to the back seat riding when we go away to France this weekend - now she has an idea how to ride!

I havent got a bike yet cause I thought that theres no point in buying anything until you pass your test. But I really like the 07 GSX-R 600 in black. These are probably a bit expensive for me at the moment and Im not to sure how much the insurance would be as im only 22. Im looking for a 500-600cc bike..

Check out the other 'newbie' threads for advice about what to buy/look for, but the great thing is whatever you get will be huge fun! The choice is vast, but even if you don't get the latest, fastest, sexiest, lightest, best handling bike that your heart desires, you'll still get something that will put a huge smile on your face, beat almost every car away from the lights and give you that fantastic 'biker' feeling . . . ooer . . . I'm getting carried away now . . . better go for a blast!
Happy hunting!

Dont worry I will take it easy. Im all too aware of the nasty statistics and i dont want to become another number. It only takes one fcuk up to kill yourself and i'll be taking it slow to start. Just gotta start saving now!!

When I passed my test I couldn't wait to get a bike and get out there riding every day. I actually passed my test on the last slot of the day and was down at the garage about 10mins after opening time the following day saying "Hi, I'd like to buy a motorbike please!" biggrin

It's great fun mate, the weather is really good at the moment: I predict you're going to have a great summer. wink
