Hi guys, need some advice. thinking of buying a gallardo 05 54 plate. obviously the warranty will expire in first part of 08 and i am worried that when it does i am going to have two problems. first one being the fact that if there is any serious problems i will have to shell out for the repairs , now i dont mind small bits and pieces which i expect to replace with a car like thsi i.e clutch etc but i do worry that if something serious like the engine blows up i am going to be stuck with a massive bill . if something worse case scenario like this happened would i be covered by my car insurance? am i being overly worried?, the second thing is does this warranty issue effect the price on resale when i finally come to sell it in a extremely negative way? , any guys here bought cars out of warranty and what are there views?.. oh and just a thought does anyone know of a warranty i could take out that could cover me on the gallardo for any problems that could occur including a big one ( like the engine exploding or something as bad). thanks!!!

Very interested in this too. Thinking of an 03 car & would like a warranty on it - if there is any option to get one on it ?

There are companies that will sell you a warranty. Basically it is another insurance policy.

Have a look at this search, you can see that there are plenty of people offering the service. Ask around on this site to find any recommendations.

we could probably get this sorted in one go, Can anyone who is either in insurance or knows alot about it tell me if :

a) a normal insurance policy would cover a major malfunction ( ie engine exploding or something as bad)

b) is there an extra part you could include on your car insurance policy that maybe you paid an extra premium for which would cover something like this happening?
