Hi - it's a sure sign of age but I've got floppy glove box syndrome. In fact the only thing that keeps it up is a bit of blue tack. Humiliating.

Any info on where I can get a replacement catch would be VERY much appreciated !

Cheers.

They all do that sir.

It's a cheap to make but not buy bit. They appear on ebay every now and again. You can get them from TVRcarparts or RS components, problem is they end up with P&P costing about £8 eek

I'm waiting for Dave Beer to supply me with one of his locking replacement kits but he's busy at the monment and hasn't had time to make them up. So if you pester him and get yourself added to the list he'll probably get round to making some

How old's your car?
The precats are fitted with a B&Q loft hatch catch - about £4.
It might just need adjusting though.

By the way my windscreen wiper motors seem very weak ( battery is fine and brand new )...is there an upgrade available ? Is that another common feature of Griffs ?

Japes, had the same problem 4 years ago. Used a cut down matchstick pushed down the side as a temporary measure whilst I sorted something more permanent. Matchstick still there and never had a floppy one since!

I've looked but never found the B&Q item and they don't know anything at all in my local B&Qs
and that includes a warehouse.Anyone know the part number or what it looks like?

(PS the part number in The Griffith Pages alternative parts list is unknown at B&Q)
