All names disguised in the time honoured fashion:-
Elipunt (who I have been with for years, and I have just accumulated an extra years no claim discount for which they increased the cost by £100) - £800
Indirect curve - £680
B - quote - £1050
Under priviledged - £600
Less than - £540
Looks like I'm switching to Less than then (if that makes sense!)
I wonder when insurance companies will wake up to the fact that they should look after their current customers then they wouldn't keep losing them?

did you use one of the online systems to search for cheapest quote? Tried it for the missus car and she saved over 100 quid from her previous insurer (effalump) and ended up with CAR (name rearranged to protect the innocent) who traditionally had been very expensive. That was nearly a third of her policy quote!! The cover she received was actually a better package as well - no such thing as a price and certainly pays to shop around. As you say so much for looking after existing customers.

if you are confused (.com) then its worth trying one of the internet search companies. they got me £489 for a 6L Monaro which isnt garaged and gets used for work.

Another Insurance broker Planed agreed to meet the price with slightly more flexible conditons so I went with them.

The Monaro is reasonable from an insurance front with none of the you must fit a £1k tracker type rubbish which goes on with Porsche.

I find the insurance renewal a right nightmare, I tried most of the above and ended up with my original company Elephant which was £730 all mods declared. The forum sponsoring company was one of the most expensive at nearly £1000, Intrestingly una lard fix (nice one boss) quoted cheaper for a supcharged car than a normaly aspirated one!! but I can not get supcharged yet to benfit from cheaper car insurance (although I am using it in my business case to she who must be obyed) I have not tied B plan though.

you could do a lot worse than giving my insurance brokers a bell. Diamond Insurance Consultants 01442 825481. This is not the same 'diamond' that are women only!!
My renewal came through for my supercharged HSV ( before I sold it, but lets not open up that wound again )at £469.17 with Ensign at Lloyds, fully comp but limited to 4000 miles per year.

Diamond are marvelous imho. Got a quote from Ensign on the above car - sticking plaster at the ready, Si - (who also insure my LC) for £500 fully comp, 12k per year, and not garaged. All mods declared - there was a long list.

Bargain imho.

I need to start shopping around soon as mine is due at the end of July. Last time I went through ANAL P and they were very good. They said I could have saved an extra £100 if i'd switched policies because I just switched my current policy from my old car to the 'ro.

If I can get it under £700 I'll be very happy.
