Try Halfords. They have a ton of belts in different lengths and they don't mind swapping if you get the wrong one. Their 'A' width is a good match for my AS supplied pulleys. For length I'd guess that a 1050 would be what you were after.

I recently replaced my alternator mount with the stronger one that CanAm Dave recommended a few months back. In the process I discovered that my alternator had been machining a groove in the mount with its fan because the belt was too short...

1090 is the length, if you don't get any joy from halfords give me a shout and I'll order one on Monday for you. I buy them from the manufacture so won't cost more than about £7 plus post. could go for a 1050 or maybe a 1070.

Think you might struggle to get a 1050 to fit, I think I used a 1070 due to slipping and had to take the alternator off to get it on to the pulleys.

If it's a poly-V belt and got a decent tension adjuster that hasn't run out of travel then I wouldn't expect the belt length to make a *big* difference to the tension. An alternative approach you could try if the new belt doesn't do it, is to apply belt dressing spray. This increases the friction between the belt and the pulley, stops it slipping and reduces belt wear.

hi GreenV8S,the tensioner was fully adjusted on the old belt , i run the belt pretty loose as the brackets can give problems , but i noticed last night with all the lights on the belt squealed a bit will try it later but the new belt is a better fit .

you could also try varying the belt thickness so that it sits higher or lower in the groove..... I did this on mine.

God only knows why ..... working great on Waynes motor...and it drives the alt and ac units...

Trick is to get a lot of contact on the crank pulley, got over 180 degrees on the GTW, with a tension-er.....

Clive, did you go for a kit? (March/Billet Specialties) or was it Diy?

I got the March pulleys and tensioner from the Summit cat, then made all the brackets my self...

Graham has also gone the serpantine route on his, I think he bought a kit from sumit.... miles better as, more reliable as the belts don't have to be tightened up until the limit of the alternators bearings and its quieter too.
