My Escort/Granada calipers have arrived and I have ordered my 283mm discs. Did I read somewhere that the mounts have to be redrilled or move to enable these to be mounted on the front?

I am going to refurb the calipers and obviously want to make any mods before they are refinished.

Any advice welcome.

If your car had the 240mm brakes as stock Bomber(cant comment on the other brake disc & hub specs) then you will need to drill the hubs out to 10mm from 8mm very easy cast iron is very easy to drill(dont worry theres lots of material in that area)you will need four washers(2mm thick)beetween the carrier and hub lugs to align the calliper carrier to disc centre you will need the granada bolts for the carriers to hub(still available from ford),you can use the stock brake lines also, thats it job done.
Any problems Bomber mail meblabla

Simon you are a star! For the record I currently have the 260mm discs on the car but I'm sure it's the same procedure.

Thanks mate!
