After a few years not watching motorsport, I went to Oulton yesterday, armed with my new (ish) D80. I haven't had a go at panning since I used to take rally photos in the Group B era in the 80's. I've picked out five from the day - what do you think? The Jag's cropped to remove the armco, the MG's are full frame.

Very nice. You've certainly not lost it. Like No.3. What lens were you using?

I like them, care to share what settings you were using?

1-3 were taken with 18-200VR (set at about 80mm) at 1/125 sec. 4 and 5 were taken with 70-300 VR ( set at about 125mm) at 1/100 sec. Shutter priority and ISO 100 for all of them.

Hope this helps.
