18 inch Carrera III v 19 inch Carrera S Wheels

Just a couple of questions regarding the above wheels on a 997:

Whats the difference in handling?...Are the 18's better?

Also the ride, do the 19 inch wheels give a harsher ride?

Which would you have???

depends if you've got PASM or not.... standard Carrera on 19"s is racecar stiff....



in my opinion my PASM equipped 18" wheeled non-S feels really keyed into the tarmac, whereas in comparison, 911S's I have driven feel like they're skirting over the surface, and then there's the better ride as well with the smaller wheels



it's assumed that bigger wheels are better... not necessary true ...but they do look great!

the 19"s would improve the looks but the make the ride quite a bit harsher as the profile of the tyre is lower.

I remember Autocar saying that the 19s ruined the 997 and the car felt allot better with the standard 18s BUT i also agree that the 19s look really good.

Ok...well I've opted for the 18's now.



How do I know if I have PASM?? Infact what is it? Is it like traction control, but much more advance?
