I called my local Game yesterday, to find out if they had a copy of Forza in stock. "Pre-owned copy sir £9.99.". Perfect I thought. My kicak Game is in Welwyn Garden City, about 5 miles away. My car is off the road at the moment, so I went to catch the rail replacement bus (because for two whole
ing months First Capital Connect is playing choo-choo games North of Alexandra Palace). I got there 10 minutes before the designated time and waited for an hour, without seeing a bus and gave up. Silly me did the same gain today. Luckilly after 40 minutes a bus actually turned up.
Game bought and I'm quite happy. Then I get home only to find out that my HD VGA cable is incompatible with PAL-50 mode which Forza runs on apparently. The other cables are 120 miles away argh!!!!
WhyTF doesn't Forza work with a VGA cable?

dunno - my Forza runs fine on my HD TV?
And a tenner seems a lot, I got mine for £2 off ebay (plus £2 postage - though I have issues loading some tracks) and I know others have got it as cheap - perhaps it would have been easier and cheaper to go that route?

Are you using a VGA cable rather than the composite HD cable? I didn't even look at ebay tbh. For the sake of £8 to have it the same day not sure it would have been worth it!
Sorry was just letting off steam. The whole train/bus thing has pissed me off as much as the Forza problem!

im using the component, but there was a conversation about the VGA..
This came up before with Forza, and with the Hitman demo. Although the VGA cable doesn't use the 50/60Hz setting, some games check it anyway.
You need to connect your 360 to the TV with the normal component lead, change the refresh to whatever the game needs, and then re-connect with your VGA lead.
Or at least that worked for me with Hitman and a couple of other people on here with Forza.
