Just come back from the 'Cars in the Park' event where the weather was beutiful and a good gethering of cars turned up.

BUT only a couple of Ferraris (one old and one new), one Lambo, and one Maserati.

What sort of event and/or weather is required for supercar owners to bring their pride and joy out of the garage?

I know if I had the money to buy such a car I would need only the slightest excuse to go out for a drive.

To own a supercar requires cash. Unfortunaly, it dosn't grow on trees. If you own your own business then Sunday can still be a work day. So i allways appreciate the effort when people turn up. I also understand the lure of a hight power car and nice dry roads driving

Maybe see you in October, till then have a good one

Just because they weren't at Cars in the Park, doesn't mean they weren't out.

Actually I have discovered a pehnomenon which I call the "law of diminishing enjoyment".

The phenomenon is simple : the more/harder I work to afford/purchase the supercars - the less time I have to enjoy them! ain't life a bitch!

I've always called it the time & money equation.

You can choose one or the other. Time OR Money, not both.

I made a big switch to more Time Off and less money last year.
Hence i am down to a MINI Cooper S (Convertable!).
The result is, i now miss the Maser. Sad Eh!
I also have a lot more time off to ponder the fact that i miss the masser.
So maybe the equation needs to take on an extra dimension.
The gutted/bad mistake factor..... Must earn more cash!

Think I have the balance right this year, but then couldn't go to CITP due to badly behaving motors

Bah humbug, going to join the perodua nippa club I think

Apologies to those hoping to see a few more Lambos.

It was relatively short notice for many, and several of us had just spent the previous weekend wazzing up to Scotland (in the rain) and charging around Knockhill (in the rain).

Some supercar owners can be a bit fair weather but I have to say, Lambo owners are less fair weather than most.

Either that, or we have a 'die-hard' group who would use the opening of a crisp packet as an excuse to go for a blast.

You choose.

Anyhoo. Chris Crossley tells me to expect another gig on October. I'll rally the troops for that one.

I am taking things a bit more seriously and planning ahead.

Yep, you heard, planning eek. The two dates are approved at bolton ( i am only picking one, don't panic) based on the best spread of cars.
