Fantastic Fuses!

I bought some new 15amp fuses in Maplin today, after I blew one messing with the interior light.
Didn't realise till I got home that they are what Maplin call 'Smart Fuses'
Basically there's a little bulb in the fuse carrier across the terminals, so when the fuse blows, provided theres still some load (or a short) the fuse lights up.
What a fab idea, and given the ease of access (!) to the TVR fuses I reckon I'm going to get some more and replace the lot.
They were £2.70 for 4, which given the hassle they might save on a dark night has to be worth every penny.

I doubt they'll be withdrawn, this sort of thing has been around for years. The main disadvantage is cost.
