E39 recommended servicing in Surrey...
Discussion
Hi,
Following on from this thread:-

I am now the proud owner of my first BMW!
I only have one green light remaining before the next service is due, can anyone recommend anybody in the South, preferable in Surrey (I live in Weybridge) who could do the servicing for me?
Also can anyone let me know a rough price guide regarding the service? - The car has covered approx 131K miles.
Cheers!
Stu

My local specialist charges (from memory, could be wrong, will edit post when I get proper numbers), for a 6-pot up to 3 litres:
Oil Service: £110
Inspection 1: £210
Inspection 2: £260
ETA: I was there this morning and looked at the pricing on the wallchart.

Just booked mine in for an inspection 1 (1999 528 touring) and MOT.
Service is £258
MOT £50
It'll be for sale shortly afterward if anyones interested?
My job just isn't condusive to owning such a big motor.......I'l start another thread about that eh?
One thing for the OP. If it's just an oil service consider doing yourself. It's dead easy, and cheap. Parts from GSF, oil from opie oils (listed on general gassing) and a service reset tool off Ebay (£15).
