Hi,

1) Is the cigar lighter a 12v input for a portable sat nav system?

2) On some sags Ive seen (possibly early ones) the exhaust 'cans' are mostly covered by the rear undertray thingy. Did they change the design later on?

Cheers
Joe

1. it can be used to power any 12v DC device so yes
2. there was a change to rear exit on the very last cars but most are full side exit...its just the view on the pics/people with custom exhausts that can cause them to look different from some angles

Early cars up to around May 05 build have a fatter shark nose rear pipe, those from around June 05 have a slightly smaller oval tail pipe which doesn't fill the space quite as well.
Hope this helps.

I run my road angel off the fag lighter - no probs but does need a bit of jiggling to make a contact

Does leaving the sat nav plugged into the 'cigar' lighter at night wear down the battery? I assume not but better to be safe than sorry.

I wouldn't leave it in there if I were you as you don't want someone braeking in for the sake of a sat nav! I've had my work car broken into just because there was a smear mark where the sat nav goes!
