Arrrgh - Scratched the rear panel on the wedge.

Hi all,
Had to use the wedge for work today, daily driver in the garage. Had to get some petrol and being late for work, was in a bit of a rush. Pulled the nozzle round across the back of the car. The rubber on the handle was resting on the bodywork. Finished putting the petrol in and noticed that I had scratched the panel. less than an inch long, 2-3mm wide.
But then it's my own fault. 
Has anyone ever tried chips away? Any good?

Bugger - sorry to hear the news.
I have tried chips away and the guy who came out was great.
There are many other franchises that do a simular job to chips away. The important thing to remember is that whats important is the person doing the work and not the name of the company signwritten on their van. Try and get a recomendation perhaps from a prestigious car dealer (they all use them).
One other thing to remember is that although results may look great at first, the paint that chips away and alike use is NOT 2 pack paint and may not age the same as the rest of the car. A friend at work had his Porsche Boxster touched up. It looked great last year but now (13 months or so on) and you can see where they sprayed as the paint is dull. It all depends on what paint your car is painted with and what the match is like.

You should have heard my comments after I reversed my car into a garage forecourt bin, taking out the light, bumper and wing. And I don't mean a scratch, either.

Yeah it's gone down to the base, real pain. Waiting on a call from chips away, to see if they can do anything with it.
Now the weathers sort of getting better, looking forward to a meet where we can actually take the cars! Is there one planned for the Crispin in the near future?
