Finally - I have my Countach
Discussion
After 4 weeks of waiting since I put down a deposit, I finally took delivery of my Countach last Tuesday. I'm on
.
I know it's an Anniversary, so not to everyones taste, but I love it soooo much. A dream realised. And with just 2K miles on it, and fully commissioned for use, it's in incredible condition, almost like new. Drives very well, apart from a slightly sticky throttle (I know they're all like that, but it's worst than it should be) which I'll sort. All the gauges stay exactly where they should be in line with the handbook, so I couldn't be happier right now.
I've already found that a lot of what people say about these is utter BS. I can see well enough out the back to know what's there. I even managed to reverse it straight through a single garage doorway on my first attempt - having never driven one before. So the door mirrors work well. (I should add that I meant to reverse through the doorway and that the door was open
). Clutch is heavy but perfectly livable with, likewise the steering. All this makes it feel special anyway. I think I'd be dissapointed if it was as easy to drive as any other car.
So that's it, I've joined the Dark Side, and I plan to stay for a very, very long time.

Fantastic news, but we do need photos
I get to drive my neighbours 25th Anniversary from time to time and it’s a great experience, I wish you all the best with your new beast.

Congrats, well done. Do you mind me asking how easily you fit inside? I'm 6ft and really struggled when I looked at a replica recently. Not sure if there's much difference to an original?

I fit just fine. I'm only 5'8" and I need the seat full forward, and I still need to lift one ass cheek very slightly to get the clutch to the floor
The headroom isn't generous though. My son is about 6'2" and he fit the passenger side Ok but has to crouch slightly in it. I would think 6' should be OK. Some of the replicas I've seen look good, but most fall down somewhere if you know exactly what should be where, so maybe they are different to sit in. Forthright - "RedBull" is a good one, I think that might be the one.

Can't see the pics
Mitch, there is one pic in my profile and another if you look in "my cars". There is also a link there to my webshots album that has more pictures again. Failing all of that - try this:
