Took a break from sampling Champagne to take in the old Reims GP circuit and do a couple of laps... A Local group have started repainting the adverts, etc.

Nice - we stopped off there a few years ago on the way down to Hockenheim, so you can compare the paintwork!

Pics are from a friend's (Gixer on here) site -

Looks like they painted the ELF signs on since last year.

Nice photos but I think they should have left the circuit alone. I like a bit of patina.

I made a visit here over Easter. When I get some time I'll see if I've got any pics that haven't already been posted.

The thing that amazed me was, apart from one of the outbuildings, there was a distinct lack of vandalism. I know it's hardly Gillingham town centre but still.

Lovely place. I agree the touch up job loses some of the nostalgia but at least they'll be around for another 50+ years (as long it doesn't get demolished).

Here's one for now with the old man's Porker on the way back from Stuttgart:

I was there a lot last year, we took about 60 cars over.

They did the repainting for a race there last July.

Here are a few shots from the tours, I'll see what else I have. smile
