chim or cerb ??
Discussion
15K is a good sum of money when purchasing a Tiv these days as you could afford a good late model Chim or a very tidy Griff. it all depends on what you want really too. if you want a good, solid, easy to live with introduction to the marque you'd be happy splashing a few ££ on, you can't go far wrong with a Griff or a Chim IMO (see the other recent threads on this forum for a bit more specific info on these) A V8 Cerb is a whole different prospect though. you must be prepared for large bills with one (most owners put aside at least £3K a year running a Cerb!) i'm not entirely sure if the Speed 6 version is a little more easier on the wallet, but if you can afford to buy/run either one, by all means go for it. they're awesome machines!
Tamora's are an excellent second hand buy too IMO. i've heard quite a few people refer to them as "TVR's best kept secret" if it has had any engine work (not as common on later S6's as earlier ones) make sure it is fully documented.
when you have researched and decided on what model best suits you, look around at a few examples, drive a few, and go along to club meets and speak to owners then buy the best example you can find (condition, mechanical and general is V important. if need be, get an expert to check it out) remember to use it regularly and enjoy it with a big grin!
good luck!
