Dilemma
Some advice please.....
I have more than a few stone chips on my 360 from the Brunters speed run.
I am off to Le Mans in June for the annual pilgrimage and going on past experience I will get "tons" more stonechips.
As a perfectionist I want my P&J to look perfect So question is do I get someone like Mr Chips (who has been recommended to me) to do a touch up jobby before Le Mans or not bother??
I guess what i'm asking is do these guys make a good temporary job of filling, painting and polishing stonechips out??
I intend on getting the whole front valance and probably the bonnet blown by Ferrari when I get back. My baby has got to be perfect!!!!

J, Don't know about the stone chips, but Mr Chips will have to be bloody good to get rid of the 2 inch dent/hole in your front valence.

Flying Colours who do basically same thing as Mr Chips did a great job on my car about a year ago. It will obviously never be as good as a quality blow in/respray however JT.

Whats this about a 2 inch hole ??

The rather large incision on the front valance inflicted by the rather large metal siding that hit me whilst trying to get out of the underground garage is something that not even Mr chips will be able to fix. Main dealer rip-off on my return from Le Mans on that one i'm afraid.

As far as the Lemans trip is oncerned, I would wear your stone chips with pride. As a status symbol, an indication to the drooling masses that they are in the presence of greatness. A ferrari driver who razzes his car rather than pootling down the Kings road and polishing it all the time.

Cheers Daz, you are right of course.......be proud that I'm getting some hoonage out of the Fezza and dont worry abt the chips until I return from the 24 hour piss-up, which usually ends up with large amounts of someone said something about a race aswell????? Never seen much of it myself, usually quaffing nasty cheap champers out of plastic glasses in the scruffy "Champagne Tent"
I will wait til I get back, then return the beast to its original glory!
Will you be attending the festivities this year?

I wouldn't totally discount these mobile services completely from being able to fix this. I have used "Chips Away" in the past to sort out a small argument with a brick wall and it is impossible to tell. The guy who did mine ( like many others ) spends most of his time doing commercial stuff for Mercedes garages etc. So they are working on expensive machinery all the time.

Hi jason, good to see you are using the beast...
I had a quote from one of these mobile guys on the basis they charge the same price per panel, weather it is a ford or a ferrari,,not a great sign..with Rosso Corsa I would take it the experts and that doesn't neccesarily mean a Ferrari main dealer.

If red is not colour matched exactly, every time you are parked under a streetlight or fluorescent lights in a petrol station, you will see where it has been sprayed..Red is one of,if not the worst colour for this.
I get my paint done by Formula one refinishing at Brands,2 doors up from Foskers, bloody slow, but a top job and cheaper than Mr chips last time.

Hi Jason.

I will not be attending Lemans as I don't do camping at the best of times and certainly not having carried out an investigation into the bogatorial and showering facilities on offer. Besides it conflicts with what is normally a lads drinking week in Puerto Banus, which for some strange reason everyone seems to be backing out of this year.

Have to make do with my upcoming Nurburg trip instead.
