My wait is almost over bounce hopefully if all goes well my GT3 should be arriving next week. However as it's not coiming from an OPC can someone who has had one tell me all the do's and do nots and running recomendations??? also what is involved in the first service (I assume an oil change at 1000 miles).

Well done, it'll probably feel like a long week ahead !!

There's quite a few threads on running in etc if you try a search.
I tried to vary revs etc quite a bit in the first couple of hunderd miles, but kept the revs below 6k, and didn't labour the engine too much.
Also took it easy with the brakes etc for the first few hundred miles, and don't forget brand new tyres need a few miles on them before pushing too hard.
I've also got the PCCB's which I find brilliant so far, but I have noticed that after a jet/power wash they can take quite a few hundred metres to work properly again, so take care there.
Finally you do need to watch your speed, sounds obvious but it's very easy to put on speed without realising, cruise is very useful here.

There's no requirement for any service until 20k miles I believe. I asked my OPC about doing an oil change at around 1k but they advised it was not required. I may still do it anyway as have a few others I think, it can't do any harm and seems a sensible thing to do.

Finally probably an idea to order up a spare splitter, it will get scraped !!

You won't be dissapointed, enjoy when it arrives !!

oh don't worry I will take some pictures!!!

re - oil I believe you can't change the oil enough really. I had my noble done in between normal service intervals. However I would probably get an independant to do this rather than an OPC as it's not something that will go in the service book but if when the car comes up for sale it's had an oil change between services with receipts to prove it I would think as long as it's recomended oil then it would be a bonus.
