Morning all..
I have a CD22 in my MK1 GT3, is it worth upgrading to the CD23 ? what will I gain ?

Also, I need to know what CD Changer will fit ?

Thanks

Not sure about the CD22 / CD23 differences but the changer is a Becker Silverstone. I have one if you're interested

Must admit I have no idea of the differences between the 22 and the 23, but have you had a look at the other similar units Becker has on offer with ipod connectivity, bluetooth, sat-nav etc. ?

CDR22 uses copper as per a conventional in-car radio

CDR23 uses fibre optic (MOST); the two are not compatible.

As for what you'd gain if you installed it?

Silence...

So I could not take the CD22 out and replace with a CD23 ?

Wetwipe beat me to it (but then his X50 is quicker than my GT3 too!)

Get a Becker GrandPrix, with bluetooth and Ipod connectivity it does the business.

The Becker Silverstone is listed on that page, it's about 240 or so.

I've just picked up a 996 Targa with CD 22 and it has a Becker silverstone. Sadly it wasn't working so the Indy Dealer went looking for a replacement from the rest of his (newer) stock. Anything we got with a CD 23 didn't fit the CD22 leads so the options seem to be OPC CD22 or the Becker Silverstone. I'm still waiting for a replacement Silverstone so would be interested if anyone has one if the dealer doesn't come through.
