Bullet cam'ing
Discussion
I get reasonably good results with an RF Concepts bullet cam and a cheap DV camcorder. Having a remote camera means the recorder can be soft mounted which protects it, and you just need a little vibration absorption for the bullet camera. A couple of layers of gaffer tape onto the rollover bar does the job nicely.

Pick up an Archos AV500 or AV700 (same internal specifications just different screen sizes) and use that as your recorder with any bullet cam.
Been using my AV700 for about 6 months now and it works perfectly, can record at different bitrates, files ready to use straight in any video editing package, and you can also use it to record TV, store photo's, watch movie's etc etc.

^^^ How come I never get the roads that clear?! I hadn't realised Archos did recorders as well, I'd only seen their players until now. Further research needed today into more DVRs and camcorders...
I'd also looked at some other options for recording such as dvr's intended for cctv's etc. Although they have multiple inputs and options for picture-in-picture etc there is the issue that most want mains power and the resolution & frame rate varies.
Thanks for the advice though.
