A mate had a new (or reconditioned) starter motor fitted to his testarossa last year, but the car is still having problems, still has trouble starting, battery, voltages, alarm etc have all been checked and now the garage are saying it may be a duff solinoid, which makes sence, but if its new shouldn't the solinoid be new? if it was a recon then shouldn't that have also been checked? (or are they seperate on these ones)

The started works fine out of the car, just not in it.

Could somthing be wrong in the car, eg whatever the started turns in the car is slightly seezed?

He hasn't managed to drive the car for nearly 12 months now, yes he knows nothing about cars at all, and I am too far away to take a look.

Got a TR myself, but at a loss on that one...however register at www.ferrarichat.com and there is a guy on there in boxer/tr section called Steve (91TR is his user name) and his is excellent and helped me out-even though he is in the US.
