Fighting Torque Website - Appeal for help
Discussion
Hi all,
I have offered to develop the website for the Fighting Torque event in August, it will hold all the latest information in the run up to the event, as well as 'runners and riders' profiles once the running list has been finalised. After the event all the results will also be posted, along with all available pictures and videos.
I am after a bit of help from you lot in doing this though...
1)Photos - I am after photos of Cerberas, in particular a side on view, and all the other exotic metal that is likely to attend this. I need these to be of top notch quality, such as Steve 'GetCarter' Carter standard. I am looking for whole pictures, as well as ones with the background photoshopped out.
If you think you can help, PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL THEM TO ME, instead, if you could upload them to somewhere like photobucket.com, send me the link, and I'll get them from there, it will save my email getting clogged up. If anyone has a large number I can provide my address that you can send a CD to.
2)Technical help - I have offered to do this in my spare time, and am going try and do as much of it myself as I can, however I may need some help. What I'm looking for is fellow web developers, graphic designers, Photoshop gurus, etc. to get in touch and let me know what you can offer. That way, if things aren't going to plan for me, I can call on you to lend a hand.
Anyone who thinks they can help, please drop me an email
I hope to get this website on the go ASAP, and that it will become a very useful site for everyone interested! I'll keep you posted.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Martin

If Longbow approves it, then I'm happy to create professionally designed HTML emails and send them for free through my email marketing firm. Wins, you've got my email/number, let me know - least I can do.
Off topic - has anyone seen MOD500 (the guy I'm matched against) profile/car? I'm in serious trouble!

You guys cracks on with it, IT isn't really my bag to be fair, but it sounds good!!!! I'm sure there is enough collective IT brainpower on here to come up with something really flash, I'll leave it up to you...........We have made contact with EVO and they are considering covering the event, although they have offered to place a news article in advance of the event, so it would be great to be able to plug the website in the article. It might also give us the appropriate medium to reach out to the Enzo/Konnigseg/Zonda/McLaren/XJ220 types.
Have popped a few from "the archives" up here. Hopefully high enough res for web use, if not then let me know and I will fire some larger ones over. Not sure if they will be of use or not but grab em if you want any.

Actually, do you have the 5th one along, the side on view of the Cerb, in a bigger res., something with a width of 800px+?http://www.third-place.com/private/ft
Cheers
Hi res of that one now uploaded here:

It's not the sharpest image when you start enlarging it etc, it was handheld in a not very well lit place, but see what you think.

I'll be posting some links to pics later.
I'm going to be out & about trying to sort a mis-fire tomorrow (replace something & go for a drive - go home, replace something else, go for a drive etc etc), so if there are any specific angles of a Cerb you need, let me know & I'll take the camera....

Ehh, a driver's side, front 3 quarter view, biased towards the front would be good, if that makes sense. In other words, looking straight at the car, then a couple of steps to the left to capture down the driver's side. In a portrait picture would be good as well. Oh, and a maybe a few different angles from the rear?I'm going to be out & about trying to sort a mis-fire tomorrow (replace something & go for a drive - go home, replace something else, go for a drive etc etc), so if there are any specific angles of a Cerb you need, let me know & I'll take the camera....

Thanks very much!
