Hi guys ive just got my tuscan back after a 5 month respray and decat,
I first noticed when i stopped for fuel that its a real struggle to start the car again
The battery is fine and it runs ok once started,
its kinda like starting the car in gear, the starter struggles,
however one the car has been stood for a while it starts fine.
Does it sound like a new starter job.

thanx carl

My Tuscan has been stood idle for some time having engine rebuild etc.

I have now noticed a starting problem as if the starter motor is on the way out.
I read another thread regarding corrosion on the earth bond to the chassis which
will give a similar symptom.

Maybe same for you.

I did have same prob on mine after 4 month stand still, it sounded like it was struggling, but it always started though, after about a month it got better, dont know if they need time to 'bed' back in maybe.

Mine stood for 4 years and was then fine when hot starting. Sounds like the same hot start problem that Giffs and Chims had. Sometimes could be solved by adding a relay but sometimes the only way was a new starter motor.
