Many on thursday am chunnel?

Me and few of the boys are leaving on thursday this year (6-7am) on the eurostar normally leave on friday because of work etc, but managed to get away early just wondered if the drive will be more policed and if the traffic will be worse? We normally don't get any problems!

Hey that could be me... just blown a Header Gasket and the 2 bolt holes over that side are in bad shape, could be a real problem!!! I wasn't planning on changing the heads for a couple of years... if it won't helicoil it's shagged and won't be on the train

Simon, for the past 10 years I have usually travelled to Le Mans Friday morning, getting Le Shuttle at around 07:30. I'm doing so this year. On the Friday the French roads are pretty clear. You will see a number of Brits on the road but the majority will have travelled the days before. You're probably aware that Rouen will take a while to traverse if you go that way, and also that Le Mans town centre roads will shut round about 15:00 because of the parade, so it may mean a reasonable quick and conntinuous drive down with a short lunch stop maybe, if that's possible in France. R.

As long as you can cruise at 160 kmh you'll be fine. If you cruise higher than that, then you could be fined! Tag onto us if you'd like (and shame our little car)

Charger is fixed, managed to helicoil the Header back on! now losing a bit of Brake fluid, doh! no leaks so expect it's running into the Master and being burnt off... but it will be going this year for sure.

I am not sure if I can see 130 let alone 160.
