West Midlands Safari Park - White Lion cubs plus others
Discussion
Hi there,
Spent today at West Midlands Safari Park as I had promised to take my wife out for her Birthday.
For those of you that don't know the park they have a small pride of White Lions which are very rare, and now they have successfully bred these lions and there are now 6 White Lion Cubs. 4 of them were born in February and 2 in April. Could not miss the chance to get some shots of them and also the various other animals that are kept at the park.
Hope you like them: -

Oooo, they are good photos.
Is it a good park to visit?? how close can you get to the animals to photo??
I want to go somewhere to snap some animals but all the parks near me arent that great. West Midlands park seems to only be 2.30 hrs away from me.
http://www.cotswoldwildlifepark.co.uk/ isn't too far from you.

Hi there,
It was my first visit to WMSP and it is fantastic, the areas each species of animal are in are nice and open. The only animals that were behind mesh fencing where the Tigers (they have White and Bengal Tigers). I only had my Olympus E-500 with the 150mm lense and still managed to get the shots above, I think with a 300mm the possibilites would be endless.
Also it costs £9.50 per person to get in which I think is fantastic value. Three of us went £28.50 in total and they even gave us a voucher for a free return visit for all three of us sometime in 2007. What a bargain.
