GT4 - F1 cars - tyres?

Is there anywhere that you can buy different tyres for the F1 cars or do you have to stick with the same compound that you get? I guess you do, seeing as everyone pits on exactly the same lap and you have to as well, apart from when a shorter stint makes sense (eg tyres will last 9 laps but only 16 laps left, so do 2 stints of 8 laps instead) not that the computer cars ever doing anything involving artificial INTELLIGENCE anyway, such as driving straight into you rather than trying to go around.
I hope they sort the AI out on the next GT instalment because the racing is dire, although the driving experience is still good. Compared with the latest Race Driver game, where you have 20 cars all properly fighting and moving around and where you actually have to pick where to make your move, GT4's racing is a bit of a joke really.
Anyway, is there anywhere you can swap tyre compounds on the F1 cars?
