Sagaris wanted - are you willing to sell??
Discussion
Hi folks
Looking around at the moment for my first TVR ever and keen to get a Sagaris. Done alot of research to date.
2005 or 2006 model - open to any colour, but red or orange would be up there.
Anyone interested, email me at ronan.harper@kpmg.ie
Cheers

The grey car in Scotland looks OK if your budget goes to £35k. Personally, £30k is the most I'd spend on a Sagaris and some of the cars at the £40k mark are just way overpriced. Thats probably why they have all been on the market for about 3 months in what should be the best TVR selling time of year!

You should be buying on condition age should not be an issue as the cars were only built for just over 18 months! I would suggest that the older cars were better built.
There are probably less than 115 cars remaining, the cars cost 55K new and most peolpe who have them are hapy with them. Why you would think a mint good mileage 2005 car at high 30s is overpriced I'm not sure, but I supsect its down to mis-understanding the marque.
Cheap cars are cheap for a good reason. Different market to your scoobie I'm afraid where they have to be cheap to sell due to the volume produced and the continuous changes in model and type.
Good luck in your search for nearly new rare super car for 30K.

There are a few around that will go for the 30k mark, or even just under it (private sales). 2005 models with decent mileage.
Do I sense a bit of "grrr" in your response mate? At the end of the day, there are a few out there with maybe 5 or 10k miles more than the rest, but at £5k to £10k cheaper?!?!?! Thats common sense for me.
Have a good day mate.

No grrr - why should there be? and coincidently, I'm not your mate. Thats the formalities out of the way.
I supect that like so many other prospective buyers that come on the forum, you have a figure in mind and expect that you can be fussy in your purchase - being an accountant will probably have a part to play there.
I was attempting to explain that buying a rare TVR may not be that straight forward. Like I said before - cheap cars are cheap for a reason and when you've looked at a representative selection, if you undertsand what youre looking at (and I mean that in the nicest possible way
) I think you may agree. Like I said, enjoy your search, and you too have a nice day. Its your money you spend it as you feel wise.
As an aside, I won't bother to offer you any further advice. You seem to have made your mind up that the Daft in Daftlad is appropriate. I also judge by first impression.

I would also say that if you are planning in picking up a 'cheap' car in the colour that you want, with the mileage that you want, you will probably be waiting a very long time - maybe forever
.
This also applies to T350 / Tamora etc but more so to the Sagaris due to the limited numbers. I was waiting for 12 months to try and find a used Spectraflair Silver one and I caved in a bought one in Chameleon Blue from a dealer in the end as I couldn't wait any longer. I paid a bit of a premium for it over a private sale but hey I am as Happy as Larry now and wouldn't change it for the world (well maybe a Gallardo :-p). My advice if you see one you like and you can stretch to afford it, get in quick because the nice ones don't hang around for long.....Good luck with your search.
