My '96 Chim has just started snaking when braking at anything over 30 mph. It's a bit worrying especially on motorways. Anyone got any theories before I take it in for a head scratching session at my local garage?

Thanks for that, I've just had New tyres all round and the bushes were done a couple of months ago ...well one was! should I have replaced both?

Have you checked that the tyre pressures are correct? I had one fitter (ages ago) put anywhere between 15 - 36 psi despite me telling them what I actually wanted.

They seemed fine when I left but it's a thought worth checking. The fitters were only lads and spent a while checking out the TVR dust caps

In that case that's the first place I'd look. Check the tyre pressures and get them scrubbed in. If the problem continues you may be looking for a fault on the front brakes.
