Countax? Spit on them. You need a deere, nothing runs like a deere. Bought one last summer and never looked back.

Countax is to Lawnmowers as 1980s cortinas are to cars.

Get a grip!

Ah yes, the finest hydrostatic gearbox in the lawnmower world. Also have a Westwood, old but with the most delicate of cut. For the outer perimeters a 9 foot Major topper behind a John Deere 1640 tractor. 12 forward gears and still only musters 18 mph.

Pretty much your typical London showroom smile

Not counting the one on my Deere smile I've got cruise control with mine. And a proper vee twin japanese engine. What you got Henry? Hmmm? Briggs and Stratton I'll bet -- sidevalve?

supermono.....ACTUALLY mines a twin suzuki 500 power plant and its rear roller stripes like a good un,as for cortinas being out-dated,they are the 993 of the ford world, still hailed as the best thing on 4 wheels !

only thing wrong with the old countax, blady dealer tried to charge me £400 for a service, but that included belts, teach me to go to O.C.C.,worse than the porsche main stealers wobble

laugh you lot are horrible sometimes wink

A 936, no good at all mate, you can`t set the cutter low enough and over undulating ground you get high spots in the grass. No, a nice rotary cutter like the major is ideal for the job to give a nice flat finish.

If we're doing the "I'll show you mine if you show me yours"........

Got this used five years ago and has only had one belt break and one new battery. No idea what type of engine it has, it's 16hp and I think I did check the dipstick once... Hydrostatic transmission is great, but as it's hand-control it's confusing if you've just been moving automatic cars around as the lever goes in the opposite direction for forward & reverse rolleyes

There's a hot-tub in that space on the patio now too - now that's customer service for you Henry wink

And just to add a bit of perspective to the size:

Pic is 3 years old, so cars no longer available

So, who's next? wink

Ahh Countax, Come with a good pedigree, I believe the owner of Countax is Mr H. Handkammer whose brother was front Jack man for Benneton at the time of the pit fire ( if I could work out how to post a pic I would, I am sure someone will post a pic) It featured on the cover of Autosport and a book by a benneton team member. Mr H. Handkammer was also a pretty good Karter and sponsored a mate of mine in European Kart racing. Countax a Great British Company, good products well designed with good back up...(my rider still great after 15 years !!and its air cooled!!! )

I`ve raced against Harry many times, his driving partner is usually former BTCC champ David Leslie.

Can`t see the photo marcus, we offered customers the use of a hot tub at Silverstone 24hrs in 2005. Even threw in a couple of ladies for that special kodak momentwink

Co-driver Pete by the way, not my good self !!
