Has anybody has anybody had experience with this puppy ?

I'm starting to get the bike urge again, and I don't want a jap bike.

Jools, I've heard tell that you're a bit of a Pepperami on 4-wheels so please let us all know when you'll be riding this so we can stay safe indoors that day! rofl

Jools,

That looks the dogs bollox, but be warned...I've seen a video of a Buell at the traffic lights against a Noble...and the Buell didn't win biggrin (Not that model though)

Ah, well I know a guy who can make the Buell go a bit faster than is really sane.......

It's suppose to handle like a Duc 996, which I happen to like (at the rare times when they are not broken down).

Mmm, I'm really getting tempted.......

The firebolt is extremely heavy on the arms, I have riden them both (s and firebolt) and much prefer the s. Its much more upright, comfortable and IMO safer to be on.

I on the other hand am 2nd in the UK que for one of these puppies. smile

The 2008 Ducati Monster.

This is the pre concept and they are apparently going to make it look "more aggressive" Couldn't resist. smile

Heavy for this day and age but they do have a fat dose torque to exploit,):

Ducati would be my choice sweeter handling and enough grunt to out drag the buell.

Jools -- you dont say what you are looking for.... The buell is fairly lethargic and runs out of steam pretty quickly although does look pretty good I found that I was always wanting more -- makes it ultimately frustrating.

If your tall, forget the monster (>1.80m) - you'll look silly on it.

You could take a look at the Aprilia Tuono R Factory or even the BMW R1200S for something a bit of the beaten track - both very quick and pretty handy on the B roads. In fact the Tuono is as mad as cheese. Ridden all of the above and pending a ride on the Ducati Hypermotard when it arrives.. I'd spend money on the Tuono R Factory pending that ;-)

For the track -- has to be a Japenese thousand tho ;-)

You listening Greg?

Mind you, it couldn't have looked worse than me and Greg on his Vespa last Sunday. Matching open faced helmets, camp or what?...I've never felt so embarrassed!

Martin.

True, however I'm going to be using it for a commute, so I really don't want to have to work too hard.
Which is why I'm looking at the Buell.

I'd love to get a Ducatti, but it really needs to be reliable. It's going to be a workhorse.

Mmm, perhaps I should get two ?

I was loaned a Monster for the weekend last year, and I really didn't get on with it.

I looked like I was riding a moped. Fast one tho !

Yea, I know. But, If you slide your bum back in the saddle, it fits fine. I'm 6 foot dead or 1.80 which I would agree is about the limit for the monster.

New one is going to be similar but I think they are going to have an adjustable seat height.

It actually makes it better to ride though, lower in the frame = more turn and grip. (same as a car I guess)

I'm only buying it to pose on anyway, it'll never get out of 2nd! hehe
