Symtoms of a Lambda not working

Can anyone tell me what the symtons of a lambda not working are, is there something that you notice while the car is running or is it just the readings when connnected to a laptop that you look at, i thought one may have gone down (due to MIL light coming on) but the car runs ok and the readings are showing on the laptop so how would i know if one had gone down, would there be something deffinate that would stand out and tell me.

Possible increase in fuel consumption / drop in mpg as may be running rich.

Sometimes a bit lumpy when accelerating.

Stalling at idle - again due to incorrect mix.



Emissions may be out of range but probably won't find that out until MOT time

Your local garage should be able to tell you very quickly if your sensors switching properly or not.
I had a problem with one of mine a while back which was causing some serious over-fuelling. Turned out to be a dodgy connection from the sensor into the ECU.
