Went to a handling day at Dunsfold last weekend, and one of the other caterham owners brought his F40 along. Wow, never seen one up close before, couldn't believe it was 16 or so years old. It's design is pretty timeless I reckon. Anyway got a few shots of it and have had a bit of a play with them, not sure if I've gone too far though.

Liked the sky on the previous one so had a play with spot colour and making it a bit grainier, I know it's not everyones cup of tea

How about number 3 just as a black and white conversion, that could look really effective I think.

To divert to a bit of petrolheadedness; even though the design is a good few years old now and it's development was accelerated as a response to the 959 so it is a little rough around the edges to say the least, this is a car that should I ever be lucky enough / work hard and be successful enough that I really really want to own.

I absolutely admire and respect the engineering prowess and effort that has gone into the Veyron, it's just an incredible machine, but it simply doesn't inspire the same emotions as the F40. For me the F40 is a car that makes me feel like a giggling scholboy (copyright the Hamster I believe). Plus the sound at full chat cloud9

Cheers

I like these a lot, the car is maybe a little dark in the first one, a grad (or a stronger grad) would have helped there.

Still a nice set though.

Really nice stuff. Agree that the first one is a little dark. Really like the last one.

These are excellent! They remind me of those "inspirational" posters with a picture and something like "Leadership - blah blah blah"

These should have:

I don't like the pics they are rubbish.

Only joking... great car, fantastic pics. Just to be different to everyone else, I like no.3, though I couldn't tell a good/bad shot if it jumped up and bit me.

I could get my 12yr old Omega to look that good, but it's not red hehe

Hey guys thanks for all the comments, and it is an absolutely fantastic car. As I said I'd never seen it in the flesh before, and I just thought it was another Ferrari, but it really is out of this world, just wish it was mine - I can dream.

I'm supprised at the first photo as soon as I put it up here I thought it looked a little dull, and yet in full size on my monitor it looks great, need to tinker a little more I think.

Interestingly going grey scale on the last turns the car completely white, and yet the second shot goes grey. Does that mean when you grey scale something it works on brightness and not colour?
