Going advanced
Discussion
This time next week, I'll have started my RoSPA advanced riders course. The day starts at 9am and finishes around 5.30pm, covering up to 300 miles in this time - which seems to be quite a lot for a day's work.
I'll be under the watchful eye of a plod class one motorcyclist called Pete and fully expect to be totally knackered by the end of the day.
The morning will be spent as assessment time and the tuition proper will begin in the afternoon. Based on the assessment, he'll know where I need improvement and base a test date on that. I'd really love to achieve the gold standard but I'm told this is exceptionally hard to achieve (the highest accreditation a civilian motorcyclist can get, apparently).
Only posting this because I'm bored at work. Will post a full review of the day's proceedings next Thursday evening
