They won't be happy until their volumes are the same as BMW......it's a crying shame.

yep - its the way of the (automotive) world I guess - either specialise in a niche (like Porsche used to ..).. or go mass (luxury) market ...(and make loads of cash) frown

I suppose we should count ourselves lucky - atleast a modern Porsche today is still a less common site than an Audi TT, but for how long.

Maybe in 20 years time enthusiasts will be lamenting the low volume years.

I live in North Leeds - it's nearly as bad here..... in fact possibly worse as our houses are cheaper. I saw 2 997 turbos in the same week they were launched!

Haah! I banged on about this last year. It seemed the next logical niche. Doesn't look too bad if I'm honest. Any takers on what's next for Porsche's marketing storm-troopers? Special editions and limited runs aside, I reckon there's potentially space for something in between the Panamera and the 911. I don't see the Panamera as a 928 replacement, as it's a proper saloon. Once VW have developed the Panamera platform, there might be some sort of restyled 2 door version of it perhaps?

Definately, expensive coupes is a big market.

Then where do they stop? - a Porsche alternative to the 3 series!?
