On the wikis would it be possible to lock it for editing when someone else is editing it otherwise you may end up with more than one edit being posted, deleting the other edit?

I can't edit them or write one.. how do I do it please in case I want to one day?

It says I don't have permission to update them, and I can't see how you start one.

Edit: Just read the other thread.

I lost some changes that I was making to the Tuscan Convertible register Wiki the other day because someone else was editing at the same time overwrote my update - could have happened either way round, depending on who hit Submit first!

Is it possible to lock them whilst being edited?

Yes this is possible but can lead to wikis being locked for longer than necessary as web pages are stateless (that means that I do not know if someone has opened a wiki to edit and then decided to quit in the middle of the editing to go and do something else and thus I would not know that they didnt need the lock). Thus I would have to set a time limit of say 5 minutes on a wiki lock if it isn't automatically removed by the user submitting the changed wiki.

We have this on the improvement list at the moment and will work on getting this sorted soon.
