Anybody out there own/know of an old mini 1000 for sale, for under £500 i'm after one in any condition at all! the cheaper the better.

Or even better does anyone know of/have a mini they want rid of from their drive for a very small fee?

I'm enquiring as my dad now has the garage up, and their's room for my mini!
It will be for my first car, so it will be restored over the next 2 years.

Any help appreciated,

Dan

not many around Dan, even ebay only has a couple

there's a 14 year old opposite me who brought a beetle and is also restoring it, every weekend he's out with his dad working away, its great to see and its slowly taking shape. The lad is in some youngsters driving club and he go's to Castle Coombe every now and then and gets to drive the circuit

I have had 000's of fun filled miles with my Mini's over the years. Some mates had Imps but suffered from comparatively fragile engines and a shortage of spares compared to the Mini.

My 60's Coopers will probably remain in my top 3 cars ever

Choose wisely young padawan...

There's a few people from the Imp club live in/around Stratford. Mate of mine USED to have one, and his wife a Stiletto, but I'm pretty sure they're both gone now. Nonetheless, I'll see if I can get some club contact details from them...that's gotta be the best place to look.

Oh...and the 898cc engine is the race one, IIRC. Not sure if fragile or not, but supposed to be a right hoot!
