Took the tiv out a few days ago with the miss's and having a nice time I was too. Haven't driven it for a few weeks and as you can imagine was a little excited so driving on to a duel carriage way behind a few cars I decided to overtake nothing dangerous I might add blipped it into 2nd and gave it some serious beef.
Anyway pulled up at the lights smiling half a mile down the road to the tune of, YOU IDIOT look what you've just done you've just broke my hair clip rant rant rant. I'd pulled of so fast her head had hit the rest and smashed her clip into little pieces, of course I straight away checked at the leather to see if she had done any damage wink and just wet myself as you do but now I dont think shes going to get back in...

Any suggestions

I would suggest a swap for my missus but she's pretty much the same! I'll never forget pulling off from McDonalds whilst she had a coffee in hand (with lid might I add) and I decided to give it some whilst making me exit only for the coffee to end up all over her rofl My first reaction obviously was to check it hadn't gone on the seat. Fortunately it hadn't, only caused 3rd degree burns to both of her legs (only kidding). Needless to say she was a bit a damp and not in the least bit impressed hehehehe

It always amuses me when we go out with the top off when she's just done her hair rofl

My missus refuses to go in my Tivver because it's "too loud, too fast and everyone looks at you". Which, coincidentally, is the reason I bought it in the first place!!!

Don't invite her then, sorted. Storm in a tea cup or this is a power struggle, nothing to do with the car. You said missus? You could offer her to drive and if she refuses it may prove my point. She probably wants a nice safe 4 seater ready for baby seats and commitment, lol. Also, girls don't like their hair being messed up so buy her a hoodie, balaclava or if she's a looker maybe a head scarf.

I nearly lost a g/f off the back of a motorbike at over a ton but she stayed around. Your's has nothing to really complain about, maybe a bad day that's all.

I know this isn't helping in trying to get the missus back in the Tiv but in my opinion they are better off out! I find the lipstick trick is always a good one. Wait til she starts to apply her lipstick (at which point driving quite steady) and then floor the bast**d roflroflrofl. Check the lipstick skidmarks up the face, its a pisser! thumbup

Hmmm! That sounds familiar.

I get "...too dangerous, too noisy, too expensive and everyone looks at you!"

blablanonoblablanono

She sees it as a potential new kitchen or somesuch.

I've had mine for just over 2 years, and she finally went out in it for the first time yesterday!

...and that's only because I caught her on the hop...and she spent the next 2 hours moaning about her hair. silly

Is my girlfriend unique then? She likes the tiv, doesn't really like me driving fast, but doesn't really moan about it either. Maybe its becasue we have only been going out 6 months! smile

Mind you I have to be careful what I write sometimes she comes on here too! biggrin

Well, buy a new hair clip for a start, but then let her take the car out perhaps? hehe

Bloody hell. I feel sorry for you guys. My better half loves going out in the Chim, and loves me giving it some beans. She cant wait to get her 6 points off her licence so she can drive it as well.
The G Forces are a lot stronger in a Cerb!

My girlfriend never has any complaints about the cerb, loves going fast with the windows down. She says its like being in a rollercoaster! I guess I maybe in the lucky minority???

If you're in a lucky minority then so I am I mate. Our Chimaera is the Mrs' car - she loves it. She does carry a large array of intriguing hair restraining devices in the door pocket, mind, but the roof comes off on every occasion it should so I can't complain.

She did used to comment on my driving. So I went out, passed my IAM test and got a ROSPA "Gold". Its the perfect comeback - "and exactly who has the highest driving qualifications here, then, dear?"

After that you can drive how you like. biggrin
