Will I Get What I Pay For?

I'm sure I know the answer already, but I may want to take the (very) occasional
Macro shot with the new D40, but at this stage, I don't want to spend hundreds
on a lens just for the odd shot.

Has anyone ever bought one of these?

I know you get what you pay for normally, but will this give 'reasonable' results?

Nope, never bought one, but for a tenner....

I doubt it, to be honest, but for 3 pints worth...good for a gamble I guess. What have you got to lose? Apart from a tenner obviously

Kind of my thinking, one CD less in the collection?

I got some of these last year. I only got round to playing with them at the weekend and I suspect they will spend most of their life in the bag...
However in the 20 mins I spent trying to work them out I did get some reasonably good results.

Certinaly worth a tenner.

If you can wait until after the weekend I'll post some shots from them

Got something similar - a set of closeup filters in different focal ranges. Got some very good piccies with them for the £15 I paid. Well worth the money if you don't want to commit to the cost of a macro lens.

Just to follow up, I opted to go for this Macro lens package, +4 and +10 Macro
lenses and will post up some results so people can see some real results.

To start, just 3 shot quickly with the +4...more to follow.
Any intial comments?

I have a few and they work really well tbh for the price
